Setting up a PCEXPRESS Clock

 

The setup of a PCEXPRESS is a two-step process.  First you must add the PCEXPRESS clock into PayClock Online. Secondly you would finish the setup at the clock itself. Important Note: Record the serial number from the time clock.  You will need this in order to add the clock to PayClock Online. The PCEXPRESS allows for you to use either an Ethernet cable or WI-FI connection to PayClock Online.

Step 1 - Add the PCEXPRESS time clock to PayClock Online.

  1. Log into PayClock Online and Select Clocks from the navigation list.
  2. Select the + New button.
  3. Select PCEXPRESS and choose + Select.
  4. From the General tab, enter a name for the clock under Device Nickname.
  5. Enter the serial number from the time clock in the Serial Number field.
  6. Select Save.

Step 2 - Set up the PCEXPRESS and connect to PayClock Online.

Please Note: The clock must be set up in PayClock Online before attempting this step. The clock must be powered up and connected to the network with access to the internet via Ethernet or WiFi.

  1. Plug in the power supply and wait for the Hello screen.
  2. Tap Continue and select the connection type.
  3. After completing the connection type set up, tap the back arrow (←).
  4. The Connection Test will start, tap Continue.
  5. The PCEXPRESS will automatically check and install any software updates. Note: If multiple updates are needed the start up process may be repeated.
  6. When the updates have completed, the PCEXPRESS will be operational.
  7. At the Home screen tap the Settings button and then enter the Administrator PIN.
  8. The Settings Menu will open, tap Sync Now.
  9. The PCEXPRESS will connect over the internet to PayClock Online, settings and employees will be downloaded.
  10. The PCEXPRESS is now ready to be used.
